La Ginestra
127 Throckmorton Ave Mill Valley, CA 94941-1909 Phone: (415) 388-0224
Tue-Sat 4-11pm Sun 3-10:30pm
La Ginestra is one of Mill Valley's old time favorites; it's been around for over 30 years, and generations of families swear by it. The decor is sparse and traditional: linoleum floors, a few booths, and simple place settings. There's an entire section of the menu devoted solely to veal, but La Ginestra is known really for its traditional pizzas. Pasta lovers will enjoy the linguine with clams, garlic and white wine.

Website and Reservations
Restaurateurs Bradley & Jody Ogden and Michael and Leslye Dellar have beendrawing national media attention to The Lark Creek Inn since opening in1989. Ogden, who helped redefine American cooking, could not have found a more ideal setting for his menus of new and old American classics than the picturesque Lark Creek Inn. Surrounded by towering redwoods, the atmospheric yellow house (built in 1888) is a thorough delight from its entryway gardens to its stone-floored sun porch. Out back, an umbrella-shaded, and heat-lamp warmed garden beside a meandering creek is the perfect spot for lunch, Sunday brunch or summertime dinner. A wood-burning brick oven is the focal point of the main dining room, where a glass ceiling lets the outdoors in.
